HealthStream Medicare is a nonprofit organization established in October 2011, dedicated to improving public health outcomes in Nigeria. Registered with the Federal Ministry of Health as a public health implementing partner, HealthStream operates nationally from its headquarters in Port Harcourt. Our organization is led by a team of passionate public health physicians committed to making quality healthcare accessible to underserved populations.
HealthStream Medicare was born out of a deep concern for Nigeria’s alarming health indices. Maternal and infant mortality rates remain unacceptably high, with women still dying during childbirth and children under five succumbing to preventable conditions like diarrheal diseases, malaria, and respiratory tract infections.
